It's May and late autumn now, the time of year when the staple crops show their glory and consistency - carrots, beets, potatoes and greens - while the summer items fade away. This season's basil, cucumbers, figs and grapes are now finished and now we move forward into the season when we can appreciate starchy nourishing roots and tubers
To finish autumn and ensure freshness going into winter, we have plentiful Apples from Appleby - these folks have been Biogro certified for decades and are dedicated to producing high quality apples! And we also have some of the very last Little Shaggery Farm fruit for this season, although their beautiful dried fruits and vinegars remain for sale year round.
